CEO Message: A Call for Peace and Unity

Dear Glick family:

Like many of you, I am at a loss for words as I reflect on the horrific events that took place in our nation’s capital yesterday. As we collectively process these destructive acts and the damage to our nation’s pre-eminent symbol of liberty, the United States Capitol, I want you to know that the Gene B. Glick Company does not tolerate – indeed, we condemn – acts of violence, insurrection and destruction. We urge our elected officials to recommit to the peaceful transition of power – a defining hallmark of American democracy that our founder, Gene Glick, fought and nearly died for and certainly never took for granted. We, too, must never take our obligations as American citizens for granted. These obligations include respect and tolerance for others, including those who hold differing political views, and above all, a commitment to the dignity and personal liberty of Americans of all walks of life. Every election brings joy to some and disappointment to others; however, there has always been one constant in our great democracy: Americans have always found a way to move forward toward our goal of building a more perfect union. We must all work together to help restore civility so that our nation can heal and move forward.

As we begin the new year, let us pledge to recognize and respect our fellow citizens so that we can continue the important work of building a more perfect union for all Americans.

David
