Giving Tuesday Contributions
Glick’s Generous Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is known as a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. During this year’s Giving Tuesday, Glick team members made dozens of contributions through Glick’s corporate social responsibility platform, Selflessly. To add to the giving, Glick offered a 3-to-1 match on all team member contributions! For example, a donation of $25 to a nonprofit of the team member’s choice was matched with $75 from Glick Gives.
Glick team members showed tremendous generosity, making a total impact of $91,244, supporting more than 100 organizations! You can find Glick’s 2022 Giving Tuesday numbers and a full list of donation recipients below.
In addition, it’s not surprising to see Glick team members giving back to their communities by volunteering. To date, 46 team members have donated 315 hours of their time through Glick’s Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program.
Thank you to the team members who have given back to help transform their communities, and gave us an important reminder of what the holiday season is all about.
Below are some stories from team members who participated in giving Tuesday:
Cassandra Justice
Compliance Program Administrator Cassandra Justice felt that with Glick’s matching process on Giving Tuesday, it was a “no brainer” for her to make a donation to her favorite charity. “I even crowdsourced some funds to make my donation larger!” she goes on to say.
The group that Cassandra donated to, Grassroot Projects, is a community focused organization that holds a personal connection to her life. “They are a local organization that provides necessities and household items to immigrant and refugee families in our community. We have friends who are immigrants and know how difficult it can be for them to get the resources they so desperately need.”
In addition to donations, Cassandra and her husband contribute to Grassroots Projects through volunteer efforts including delivering supplies to the families the organization aids.
Working at Glick has been a “game changer” for Cassandra and her donation efforts. “I have donated to Grassroot Projects several times when the matching amount was 2x or 3x and they always tell me how thankful they are for such a large amount. I tell them, it's mostly Glick! I am so glad that I can enhance my impact on this deserving community.”
Alec Bannister
This Giving Tuesday, Real Estate Development Analyst Alex Bannister was able to donate to an organization meaningful to him with the help of Glick’s 3:1 matching opportunity. “Helping Veterans and Families (HVAF) provides assistance to veterans struggling with housing, employment, food and other basic needs. As a veteran myself, HVAF’s mission is highly important to me.”
With charitable giving being extremely important to Alex, it’s important to him that “Glick is involved in many communities throughout the country, and it is rewarding to know that we consistently support each community and the people within them on a daily basis.”
Stephanie Kingsbury
When Stephanie Kingsbury was asked about what she did for Giving Tuesday, she explains that she was motivated to donate thanks to Glick’s monetary matching commitment. “I am so fortunate to work for a company that truly does care.”
Stephanie was able to help St. Vincent Depaul through her donations, a place that in turn gives back to the community. “The local St. Vincent's does so much to not only help our residents here, but the entire community. They work so hard to help everyone that they possibly can.”
