Glick 75th Anniversary Employee Spotlight: Linda Orange
In celebration of Glick’s 75th Anniversary, we are featuring some of our long-tenured employees who have helped make Glick the impactful company it is today.
Starting as an administrative assistant in 1986, Linda has held various positions at Glick and now serves as Senior Vice President of Property Management.
"Each role was uniquely different, but offered me the opportunity to learn and grow,” Linda said. “Somehow, a rumor started years ago that I was a lifeguard with Glick; sadly, I never had the opportunity for that role, but would have loved to spend days in the sun."
When asked what has kept her working at Glick for 35 years, Linda shared, "I love what we do here at Glick. We are providing one of the most needed items for families… housing. I wake up every day knowing that what we do is making a difference in an individual's life, whether that is a young mother, father, child, or senior resident. Glick's team members make this a great place to work. Their dedication, inspiration, and initiative make me wake up thankful to work for this company."
During her tenure at Glick, Linda has been encouraged and inspired by many of her colleagues. "Chad Greiwe has such a creative mind and a different thought process… He has inspired me to think not just outside the box, but as if a box doesn't even exist. One of my biggest sources of inspiration came from my mentor, Anita Smith. Monthly meetings with her left me elevated and feeling like I could tackle any obstacle."
Linda recalled her favorite memory from her time working at Glick: The team rallied together to elevate the living experience for the residents of Carriage House East. Within a day, the team built an entire playground, poured concrete, laid mulch, created an outdoor seating area for classes, and planted a garden for the families. "It was exciting to see it all come together," said Linda.
Thank you for your impact on Glick and our residents over the last 35 years, Linda!
