Glick Celebrates World Animal Day!

Happy World Animal Day! This day celebrates ways the world strives to make it a better place for all animals. Today, take a moment to support national and local efforts to protect all species, because this is their world too!

We are lucky to have so many animal friends on our Glick team that help make our days a little brighter and much more fun. Take a peek below at some of our team’s companions!

Miss Kitty

Miss Kitty is an outdoor lady who prefers to spend her days soaking up the sunshine outside on the outdoor furniture. The cat distribution system chose Angela, as Miss Kitty adopted Angela by showing up one day at her house eight years ago.

Leroy

Leroy and Autumn met one fateful day over 15 years ago – ironically, the same day Autumn met her future husband! Leroy is a horse of many talents, and has trail ridden all over, sorted cattle, and won multiple mounted shooting events. Autumn and Leroy have traveled all over the Midwest together, with Leroy always being down for an adventure. As Autumn says, “he is a once in a lifetime kinda horse.” Make him your best friend by grabbing some pumpkin flavored treats!

Khalessi

It’s not hard to imagine that it was love at first sight for Elizabeth when she first adopted Khaleesi from Petco. Her sweet face and bubbly personality – she loves to meow at everyone! – makes her the best gal to have around. If you recognize this sweetheart’s face, it’s because this photo was a winner in a pet photo contest, in which she was named Ms. November.

Binkie

Binkie’s name was inspired by his early days, when he used a binkie as a baby. Misty and her husband helped save Binkie’s life after a devastating loss within their own family. They were determined to save him, helping to even bottle feed him. Binkie is a triplet, and his siblings are named Bella and Bambi. Binkie loves his treats, including animal crackers and Misty’s plants.

Mamas, Lola, Chase, & Louie

Jennifer has a full house, with four pups and four cats not pictured! From left to right, these furry friends are named Mamas, Lola, Chase, and Louie. Each one has a unique personality: Mamas is laid back and loves to lounge, while Chase and Lola like to run around outdoors together. Louie likes to stay right by his owner, almost like a second shadow!

Yoshimi & Joy

Yoshimi and Joy are two inseparable pups! Yoshi, who has been with Stephanie for over eight years now, loves to play with her toys, chase the neighborhood squirrels and watch TV (she likes to bark at the animals on the screen). It wasn’t long after Yoshi’s companion, Oscar, passed away that Stephanie and her husband found Joy at their local humane society. Joy is calm and requires a certain amount of belly rubs per day. They both agree on their treat preferences, with meat, cheese and peanut butter being their go-tos.

Inky, Bumper, & Ziggy

Inky (left), Bumper (lower right) and Ziggy (upper right) are the best of friends! The three love to go on walks, spend time with their human, Monica, and share their toys – including Inky’s favorite, her llama, which the boys love to steal to tease her. They all were adopted from friends of the family, making this furry bunch even more special!

Dusty

Dusty is a sweet dog with a curious mind. When he’s not relaxing and enjoying a slow day, he prefers to watch the neighborhood kids get off the bus each day. Like clockwork, he finds his spot by the window to make sure all of the kids get home okay!

Roxie came in to Mary’s family one Christmas as a holiday gift for her husband, and she has been a part of the family ever since. Roxie loves to go on walks with her humans, as well as loves to fetch a ball – her favorite toy!

Edgar

Edgar is a kitty of many nicknames. Whether you call out for Mr. Chonk, Chonkasaurus rex or Edgar, he will answer! Edgar loves food time, and goes to extra lengths to protect the water bowl from the other cats in the house. Edgar fit right into the family from day one, and they knew Edgar was the cat for them when they first visited the kitten and he fell asleep on their laps.
