Brittany Long

Associate Property Manager
Corporate Office
2 & ½ years

Q: How did you get started with the Glick Company? Why have you stayed?
A: When I got started with the company, I had recently moved to Indianapolis from Lafayette. I had been working for another property management company for two years, and there just wasn’t any room to grow. My friend told me to keep a look out for any open positions with the Gene B. Glick Company. She said they had a great reputation, and there would be room to grow. After my first interview and learning not only about the position but what the company stood for, I knew it was the career I had been looking for. I have stayed with the company because in the short amount of time I have been here not only have I felt like I have made an impact, but, my peers have made a positive impact on me. I am challenged daily to learn and better myself professionally and personally.

Q: Describe a memorable moment you have had while working for Glick. Why was it so memorable?
A: What sticks out to me most are the relationships I have formed with my peers and the residents. I am very fortunate and get to travel to a lot of our properties as an associate. I get to meet so many different residents and employees. Those relationships I build with them will last me a lifetime, and I really enjoy that.

Q: Describe the Glick Company in one word.
A: Dedicated

Q: What has surprised you most about working for Glick?
A: I think what has surprised me most is how much Glick cares. You’re not just “another number.” They treat their employees like family. They are very committed to providing the best homes and customer service to our residents. Your opinion matters, and new ideas are always welcomed.

Q: Talk about someone at Glick who really influenced your time with the company.
A: When I first started in my position, I had a great support group within the Operations Support Department. My fellow associates were always there to answer any questions and offer support. My mentors from the beginning have been Terence Lawson and Anna Hensley. They both are patient, compassionate and have years of knowledge. They have always taken the time to teach, listen and to help me grow. I have a lot of respect for both of them.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for Glick?
A: I would tell them to work for Glick if they want to be part of a progressive team environment. Glick is constantly growing, and with that comes great opportunities and knowledge.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I love anything to do with home decor/design. What girl doesn’t like shopping as well?!

Q: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Chocolate

Q: If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be?
A: The Maldives
