Glick Employee Spotlight: Celeste Evers

The Gene B. Glick Company is honored to have such hard-working, dedicated employees, and we are proud to recognize these individuals in a monthly employee spotlight!

Q: What is your title at the Gene B. Glick Company?
A: My title at the Gene B. Glick Company is Service Coordinator.

Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: I have been with the company for six years.

Q: Have you had any other positions with the company?
A: I have worked as a Service Coordinator at Cambridge Square Beech Grove and Cambridge Square North.

Q: What has kept you here?
A: Gene B. Glick has been a wonderful company to work for. Every day I have the pleasure of coming to work; I get to experience new challenges and new fulfillments. I have the opportunity to serve wonderful residents and work with an awesome team. Glick personifies “Our Business is Family.”

Q: What training/education/background did you bring with you?
A: I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University with a certificate in case management. I have a master's degree in business administration with a focus on business management.

Q: What do you do in your role?
A: That’s a hard question. Service coordination encompasses so much. In general, I would say I assist our residents with maintaining successful housing, obtaining and maintaining necessary services, and helping people live more independent lives. However, that comes with many challenges and steps.

Q: What would surprise people about your role/the work you do?
A: I have a really silly side. I enjoy making jokes and witty banter.

Q: What part(s) of your job do you like the most?
A: The best part of my day is interacting with our residents and staff.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I love spending time with my family. Before the pandemic, I spent most of my time shuffling kids to their activities. Now, we spend tons of time going on walks and having movie nights.

Q: If you won the lottery and didn’t have to worry about money, how would you fill your time (e.g., dream job, hobbies, causes)?
A: I know this may sound a little weird, but if I won the lottery today, I would come to work tomorrow. I love being a service coordinator at Glick.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
A: I would go to Santorini, Greece.

Q: Do you live life by any certain motto or philosophy?
A: My personal mission statement is “To encourage, engage and equip others to believe in the possibilities.”
