For this month’s spotlight, we are proud to feature Dejanae Dale, a Maintenance Supervisor at our Woodlake Apartments property. For nearly three years, Dejanae has been a dedicated team member serving our Glick residents and broader communities. When reflecting on time spent at Glick so far, Dejanae shared:

“I have stayed with Glick for various reasons. Glick has a great company culture and a lot of opportunities for growth. Glick is a company that loves to give back to the community and truly cares about their employees.”

Dejanae finds collaboration is key to not only her success, but her team members’ as well. Her motivation truly comes from being a team player.

"I come to work motivated every day because I can lead a team and be a true team player to ensure we are all reaching our goals and the overall success of the business. In every role we serve here at Glick, we would not be able to get the job done without the help of one another.”

And while Dejanae values collaboration from her entire team, she often found inspiration from one memorable colleague that has had a lasting impact on her life.

"I have received a lot of my inspiration from my former supervisor Michael Lewis. From the start, he has always been there to teach me and help me with anything that I need. Michael inspired me to take the role that I am in now. I've always had the desire to learn and perfect my craft. Over time, after looking at Michael and all that he has done and is still doing, he gave me the leap of faith that I needed to go after my dreams.“

Over the years, it’s not just the projects and accomplishments that have resonated with Dejanae. She has found memorable moments in the fun and laughter shared with her teammates along the way.

“My favorite memory at Glick was our office Christmas party and being able to be a judge for the Gingerbread contest. Christmas happens to be one of my favorite holidays and seeing how creative the staff are and them being able to share that side with us was fun to watch.“

Outside of working at Glick, Dejanae enjoys volunteering with her friends and family.

“In my free time, I volunteer with my family and friends at National Night Out. It's one day where we are giving back to the community with games, giveaways, good food and a lot of entertainment.”
