Q: What is your title at the Gene B. Glick Company?
A: My current title is Assistant Property Manager at Lake Oaks Apartments in Racine, Wisconsin.
Q: What brought you to Glick? Why did you want to work here?
A: Glick actually came to me! Glick acquired our property in 2017 and kept me on the office staff!
Q: What has kept you here?
A: Glick is a wonderful company to work for, and I love my residents.
Q: How did you make your way into this industry?
A: I started off as a part-time leasing consultant at another property. I enjoyed it and wanted to stay in the property management field.
Q: What do you do in your role?
A: I do lease signings and renewals, give tours, take work orders from residents, assist the property manager with day-to-day tasks and work alongside the service coordinator to plan events.
Q: Why is your role/the work you do at Glick important?
A: I like to believe I make a difference in the residents’ lives each day and make this a great place for them to call home.
Q: What would surprise people about your role/the work you do?
A: It is more than just a 9-to-5 job. Our residents really become our family.
Q: What part(s) of your job do you like the most?
A: I love that I get to interact so closely with my residents and get to know them on a personal level.
Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Glick?
A: Glick not only cares about the residents but its employees as well — and they do so much for the community.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Spend time with my two children and family. I am a big Harley-Davidson fan and love to go on long motorcycle rides.
Q: What would surprise Glick team members about you?
A: I have an 18-year-old and a seven-year-old!
Q: If you won the lottery and didn’t have to worry about money, how would you fill your time (e.g., dream job, hobbies, causes)?
A: I would travel with my children.
Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
A: I would love to go to Ireland.
Q: Do you live life by any certain motto or philosophy?
A: I take one day at a time and cross each bridge as it comes to me.
Q: What is a typical workday like?
A: No two days are the same. There’s always a new adventure around each corner!
Q: What makes Glick unique compared to previous companies where you have worked?
A: I have never worked for a company that cares about and gives back to its employees as much as Glick does.
