This month, we are excited to spotlight Kurtis Roesler, Property Manager at Somerset Lakes, who recently celebrated 10 years with Glick.

Throughout his career, Kurtis has held roles at two additional Glick properties, including Ashley Pointe in Evansville, IN, and Ashton Brook in Indianapolis. We listened to Kurtis reflect on his relationships with his teammates and their shared commitment toward resident success.

“I’ve been lucky to work alongside such amazing people, many of whom I’ve known for nearly a decade now,” says Kurtis. “Having a team that’s dedicated to the same goal of providing the best experience possible for our residents makes all the difference.”

Kurtis has witnessed firsthand how teamwork and a shared vision can transform a community. One of his fondest memories was collaborating on Ashton Brook’s rehabilitation project. “Seeing all the hard work pay off was incredibly rewarding,” he says.

Another highlight was accepting the opportunity to manage Somerset Lakes. “It was a role I was excited to take on,” he says, “and I’m proud to be part of such a great community.”

For anyone considering a career in property management, Kurtis encourages curiosity, flexibility, and connection.

“Don’t be afraid to ask questions, embrace change, and expect the unexpected! Every day is different, which is what keeps the job exciting. And get to know people. You’ll find that the relationships you build are the best part of the job.”

Kurtis credits much of his professional growth to his Regional Property Managers.

“They’ve always encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone to become the best leader I can be. Over the years they have taught me so much about leadership, supporting others, and seeking opportunities for growth and development. I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without their guidance and support.”

Outside of work, Kurtis enjoys cooking, entertaining, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with his four pugs: Cooper, Crosby, Conner, and Carlos. He also has a dream of starting a food and beverage business with his best friend.
