Q: What is your title at the Gene B. Glick Company?
A: Service Coordinator at Blairwood of Louisville

Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: I’ve been with the company for 5 years.

Q: What has kept you at Glick?
A: The key to a successful business means not only focusing on the customers' needs but ensuring employees are well taken care of. And I believe Glick does a great job of that. Also, my Blairwood of Louisville family — we all get along great and help each other.

Q: What training/education/background did you bring with you?
A: Along with my bachelor’s degree in social work, I also obtained my master’s degree in human resources in 2018.

Q: What do you do in your role?
A: As a service coordinator, my is role to provide residents quality service and to ensure residents get the services they need to remain independent in their apartment home. As a service coordinator, one must possess good people skills — this is a must. I build strong relationships with our community partners and service providers to ensure residents receive the best care possible.

Q: How do you describe your role to friends and family?
A: I explain that I work with families and individuals to help those in need; I coordinate community room events, health care, counseling, education and rehabilitative services.

Q: What part(s) of your job do you like the most?
A: I enjoy talking with people. And my job provides me an opportunity to put that to use for a purpose. I'm a very social person and enjoy helping others. Serving humanity is my priority.

Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Glick?
A: Glick has a great reputation in supporting and investing in employees and their families. Glick leads by example in customer service and investing in communities.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym, shopping, spending time with my family and binge-watching shows on Netflix.

Q: What would surprise Glick team members about you?
A: That I enjoy watching and playing basketball. Every Monday, I play pick-up basketball games with a group of ladies who are aged 30 and over.

Q: If you won the lottery and didn’t have to worry about money, how would you fill your time (e.g., dream job, hobbies, causes)?
A: I would fill my time free time by traveling, making donations, changing lives and volunteering.

Q: Do you have a bucket list and if so, what is on it?
A: Go on an African safari.

Q: Do you live life by any certain motto or philosophy?
A: “One person can make a difference.”

Q: Is there anything about yourself that you would like to add?
A: I am married, with two sons, Ryan Jr. (10) and Aiden (3).
