Q: What is your title at the Gene B. Glick Company?
A: Maintenance Superintendent

Q: How long have you been with the company?
A: 34 years

Q: What brought you to Glick? Why did you want to work here?
A: I had a brother and brother-in-law who worked for Glick, and they told me it was a good company; so when I was offered a job, I took it!

Q: What training/education/background did you bring with you?
A: Experience in painting, roofing and plumbing

Q: How do you describe your role to friends and family?
A: Just simply that if I can’t fix it, I find someone who can.

Q: Why is your role/the work you do at Glick important?
A: My role is to get the job done, no matter what it takes, to make the experience great for our residents.

Q: What would surprise people about your role/the work you do?
A: It takes more than being able to fix things to get the job done. It also takes good communication with residents as well as management.

Q: What part(s) of your job do you like the most?
A: Fixing what is broken

Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Glick?
A: The amount of training given to individuals

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I like to tinker with old cars, watch movies and walk my dog.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
A: Not sure — when I do something, it’s usually spur of the moment.

Q: Do you live life by any certain motto or philosophy?
A: Don’t sweat the small stuff in your life and only half the big stuff because the rest will always work itself out.

Q: What is a typical workday like?
A: It varies — I deal with a little of everything.

A: The Glick Company allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
