We are proud to spotlight Regional Property Manager Monica Richardson this November!

As Monica reflects on the many memories and her time spent with Glick over the past decade, she especially admires the many ways Glick gives back to our communities.

“I love all the ways the company gives to communities and encourages and enables employees to be a part of the giving culture. I love collaborating with property managers and teams across other regions to help make a difference.”

When asked what Monica enjoys most in her role, she mentioned the family atmosphere, team collaboration, and wearing multiple hats.

“I like the dynamic and challenging work environment. The job includes a mix of financial management, tenant relations, and maintenance oversight, which keeps things exciting and different. Plus, I love to plan strategy and see it come to life.”

Monica appreciates all the coworkers who have helped shape her journey and foster her professional and personal growth along the way. As she reflects, there’s one person whose mentorship stands out.

“Kari Turbeville helped pave the road to my recent promotion to Region Property Manager by showing me how rewarding the job can be. She has always pushed me to try new things, showing me that you can’t succeed if you don’t try, and that failure isn’t always a negative thing. Kari taught me that if you work hard enough, you can achieve anything.”

For those aspiring a similar career path, Monica’s best advice is, “Go for it! Embrace that no two days look alike, be open to change, and, most importantly, always treat your teammates how you want to be treated.”

Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her girls, catching up on reality TV, thrifting, and she recently rediscovered her love for chocolate.

“I thought I was still allergic until the girls dared me to try it one night. I realize that probably wasn’t the best idea, but I found out I grew out of that allergy! Chocolate and I are best friends now.”
