20 Years with Glick

Q: How did you get started with the Glick Company? Why have you stayed?

A: I was working at an insurance agency, and a friend who worked at Glick told me about the company’s insurance coordinator opening. I thought it sounded interesting and felt like I was ready for a new challenge in insurance. I have stayed because I like the challenge, and I enjoy helping all the Glick properties with their insurance questions and claims.

Q: Describe a memorable moment you have had while working for Glick. Why was it so memorable?

A: I really don’t have just one. I love giving back to the communities. I love how Glick helps as a company and also gives employees the opportunity to give back to the community in many different ways as individuals.

Q: Describe the Glick Company in one word.

A: Helpful

Q: What has surprised you most about working for Glick?

A: The company has always focused on philanthropy and working to make life better for others. Glick continues to step up, helping residents and communities, and taking care of their employees.

Q: Talk about someone at Glick who really influenced your time with the company.

A: The person who stands out the most is Anita Smith, Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer. I have worked with her in many capacities over the last 20 years. For the last few years, we have worked closely together on a new type of insurance program. It was all new to the company and to me. Anita and I tackled this program together to make it work best for the Glick Company.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for Glick?

A: It is a very rewarding company to work for. They don’t just focus on the bottom line — they focus on giving back to the residents, communities and employees.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: I enjoy watching and going to NASCAR races, spending time with my family and watching the Colts play.

Q: Favorite sports team?

A: Indianapolis Colts

Q: If you could trade lives with a celebrity for a day, who would it be?

A: Dale Earnhardt Jr. I would enjoy spending just one day in his shoes to experience the NASCAR scene.
