As the Maintenance Supervisor that oversees the Fairington and Fowler Apartments in Lafayette, Indiana, Tyler Russell says being able to help positively impact the lives of the residents he works with is a nice perk of his job. “I stay motivated by challenging myself to be better than I was yesterday. That, along with the people I work with every day.”

During his tenure at Glick, Tyler says he has been inspired and encouraged by many of the individuals he has worked with, but Jennifer Huddleston and Kathy Like really stand out as mentors.

“They have both encouraged and inspired me to do more than I knew I was capable of. They believed in me when I didn't believe in myself and helped me become the employee I am today. Because of them, I refuse to settle and feel as though I am capable of anything within my field,” said Tyler. He also said that the personal and professional growth he has gotten to experience along the way keeps him working at Glick.

One of Tyler’s favorite memories about his time at Glick is when his team volunteered at Camp Tecumseh, where they rebuilt the drainage system for the camp’s chapel. “It was a challenging job and required everyone to work together as a team. We had many laughs, and it ended up being a pretty good day!”
