This summer, Team Glick has been busy supporting local organizations and creating opportunities for others to thrive. Read about our team’s collaborative giving-back activities in support of affordable housing, education, and the communities we serve below.

Glick Women Builders Support Affordable Housing

For years, Glick Women Builders have partnered with Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program to help women achieve homeownership through fundraising and volunteering.

Fundraising: We are incredibly humbled by this team’s commitment to imagining new ways to support this cause each year. Women Builders hosted their first-ever Glick Market at the Home Office in May, featuring handmade items and baked goods for sale. This whole-team effort helped raise more than $1,300 toward affordable home construction.

Volunteering: In June, the Builders shifted their work to the jobsite – two Habitat houses under construction on the near Northwest side of Indy! Builders worked in teams and alongside Habitat leaders and the homeowners-to-be to install cabinets, windowsills, shelving, and more. This experience is a team favorite, allowing Builders to see their impact firsthand while learning new skills together. The entire crew labored, laughed, ate lunch, and celebrated wins as a team.

We are so grateful for the 2026 Women Builders and individual team leaders Alexa Woods, Ceceily Brickley, Samantha Miller, and Sharvonne Walker for carrying forward the values that have guided our company for nearly 80 years.

We are happy to share that as of date of publish, the Glick Women Builders Team has raised more than $34,000 and ranks among the program's top five fundraising teams in 2026!

Team Glick Gives Back-to-School

Creating educational opportunities for residents and team member families continues to be an important part of our work. We thank each team member who donated their time to make each of the following a success.

• Glick Cares Backpack Attack: Since 2014, our team has helped provide school supplies to young residents across the communities we serve. This year, we partnered with Teacher’s Treasures for Project Fresh Start to provide folders, water bottles, paper, notes of encouragement, and other back-to-school essentials. In July, the Glick Philanthropies and Resident Success teams hosted a School Backpack Volunteer Pop-In Event, where Home Office team members packed 1,250 backpacks in just a few hours. Together, these efforts helped distribute more than 3,000 backpacks across 49 Glick properties.

• Annual Glick Education Awards: Through this program, Glick provides educational grants to our team members’ dependents in support of their higher education goals. This summer, 23 outstanding students were awarded a combined $116,000 to help cover tuition, books, and boarding costs. This program has granted more than $746,500 to 126 recipients since 2019.

Onsite Teams Connect Residents to Resources

Our property teams are giving back to their communities this summer, too! Their volunteer efforts reflect the care and commitment they bring every day, and we are so grateful for them. Here are a few shoutouts.

• Dare to Care: On June 3, team members from seven Glick properties volunteered at Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, packing 567 food boxes for local seniors.

• Louisville Free Public Library: On June 18, Fairington Louisville partnered with the Louisville Free Public Library to bring books to residents, fueling conversations and a shared love of reading.
  
  
• Backpack Giveaway & Resource Fair: On July 10, Bethabara Pointe connected residents with local organizations and community resources through a Backpack Giveaway and Resource Fair.

• Resident Cooking Class: On July 13, Hammond Elderly partnered with the Hammond Development Corporation to host a culinary skills class. Each resident took home a new crock pot to continue honing their craft after class.
