Honoring Veterans Day at Glick
Today, we recognize and honor the sacrifices made by the courageous men and women who have served our country. Originally known as Armistice Day, Veterans Day commemorated the conclusion of World War I and expanded through the early to mid-1900s to honor all our country’s veterans. The day now also serves to celebrate peace and an enduring appreciation for the brave individuals who have contributed to the freedom of our nation.
Glick’s origin story is intertwined with veterans. Back in 1947, a young WWII veterans desire to help his fellow GIs build homes for their families set into motion the founding of what we call the Gene B. Glick Company today. After returning from the war, Eugene B. Glick and his wife, Marilyn, began constructing homes in the heart of Indianapolis. As the company grew, it evolved to focus on multifamily housing and development. It is thanks to the commitment, integrity and excellence of our founder that Glick has the reputation it has today.
To all the service members who have dedicated their lives to preserving our country, thank you for your sacrifices and commitment.
