Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in U.S. history, commemorating the ongoing pursuit toward freedom and equity for all Black Americans.

At Glick, we keep this history in mind as we build communities where everyone can feel they belong. This June 19, we invite all to join in celebrating Juneteenth in the communities we serve, and beyond!

Juneteenth Events in the Communities We Serve

Florida

  • Miami: Join in on the family fun by watching cultural performances and playing at the kid zone at Griffing Park’s Juneteenth Festival, on June 18 through June 19.
  • Fort Lauderdale: Join the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Juneteenth celebration, back again with vibrant performances and entertainment on Saturday, June 20.

  • Bowling Green: Come together for dancing, games, and activities for all ages at the Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County for their 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19.
  • Louisville: Honor freedom, reflection, and collective healing during the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration with the Muhammad Ali Center on Friday, June 19.
  • Lexington: Enjoy a chess tournament, amateur boxing, guest speakers, and local exhibitors at the City of Lexington’s Juneteenth Freedom Day on Sunday, June 21.

Missouri

  • St. Louis: Race for reconciliation at the Delmar Loop’s Juneteenth Celebration and 5K race, complete with vendors, art, and entertainment on Saturday, June 13.
  • Ferguson: Find community resources, featured guest speakers, book bags and grocery giveaways, and more at the Ferguson Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 13.

North Carolina

  • Charlotte: Give kudos to youth leadership and Black excellence at the 5th Annual Queen City Juneteenth Cultural Celebration on Saturday, June 13.
  • Winston-Salem: Step outside into Bailey Park and relax watching a lineup of live entertainment, local vendors, and youth activities at the city’s Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 20.
  • Greensboro: Choose from a list of ways to celebrate with community across Greensboro for Juneteenth 2026 events, happening now through Sunday, June 21.

  • Bronx: Relax with an evening of powerful conversations, live music, and a walk through a late-night exhibit during the Bronx Museum’s Juneteenth Celebration 2026 on Thursday, June 18.
  • Buffalo: Embrace the theme of Buffalo’s Juneteenth 2026 event: Honoring the Past, Serving the Present, and Inspiring the Future – complete with a parade, vendors, and health resources on Saturday, June 20 through Sunday, June 21.

Ohio

  • Cincinnati: Find joy in celebrating at the Freedom Center’s Juneteenth Jubilee, a day packed full of entertainment, local vendors, and family-friendly activities featuring Black Lit Books, the Cincinnati Observatory, and more on Friday, June 19.
  • Toledo: Walk through a three-part journey of the Past, Present, and Future of the Black experience at Toledo’s 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration. See Glass City Metropark transform into a living cinematic experience on Friday, June 19.
  • Akron: Step out into town at Akron’s Juneteenth Celebration and Parade, hosted by Akron Juneteenth. Enjoy an afternoon of celebration featuring a live DJ, food, and community vendors on Saturday, June 20.

South Carolina
