Juneteenth marks a pivotal moment in U.S. history, commemorating the ongoing pursuit toward freedom and equity for all Black Americans.
At Glick, we keep this history in mind as we build communities where everyone can feel they belong. This June 19, we invite all to join in celebrating Juneteenth in the communities we serve, and beyond!
Juneteenth Events in the Communities We Serve
Florida
- Miami: Join in on the family fun by watching cultural performances and playing at the kid zone at Griffing Park’s Juneteenth Festival, on June 18 through June 19.
- Fort Lauderdale: Join the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Juneteenth celebration, back again with vibrant performances and entertainment on Saturday, June 20.
Georgia
- Savannah: Marvel in a fireworks show and restore joy during the Savannah Juneteenth Fine Arts Festival on June 19.
Illinois
- Chicago: Kick off your Juneteenth celebration at the 6th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Market, featuring 50+ local Black-owned businesses and creators on Tuesday, June 16.
- Springfield: Enjoy the 32nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration United Parade, finishing at Comer Cox Park on Saturday, June 13. Celebrate Juneteenth all week long with other dedicated events through Friday, June 19.
- Decatur: Spend a day with community at the 32nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration Gala and Central Park Festival, with a Juneteenth Emancipation Parade downtown on Saturday, June 20.
Indiana
- Indianapolis: Get inspired by author Tomi Adeyemi and experience phenomenal storytelling at the 9th Annual Book Fest and Juneteenth Celebration Empowered to Speak: Freedom Dreams on Saturday, June 13.
- Bloomington: Bring the whole family out to Switchyard Park for the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration, featuring live entertainment, local vendors, and opportunities to connect with community organizations on Friday, June 19.
- Evansville: Unite with neighbors at the 7th Annual EVV Juneteenth Celebration, made for the whole family, on Friday, June 19.
- Muncie: Return to McCulloch Park for their annual Juneteenth Celebration, a free festival featuring family activities and community programming on Saturday, June 20.
- South Bend: Explore LaSalle Park’s with family and community at their 2026 SBCIBE Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20.
Kentucky
- Bowling Green: Come together for dancing, games, and activities for all ages at the Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County for their 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19.
- Louisville: Honor freedom, reflection, and collective healing during the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration with the Muhammad Ali Center on Friday, June 19.
- Lexington: Enjoy a chess tournament, amateur boxing, guest speakers, and local exhibitors at the City of Lexington’s Juneteenth Freedom Day on Sunday, June 21.
Missouri

- Winston-Salem: Step outside into Bailey Park and relax watching a lineup of live entertainment, local vendors, and youth activities at the city’s Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 20.

Michigan

New York

Ohio

- Akron: Step out into town at Akron’s Juneteenth Celebration and Parade, hosted by Akron Juneteenth. Enjoy an afternoon of celebration featuring a live DJ, food, and community vendors on Saturday, June 20.
South Carolina
