Team Members Uses Volunteer Time Off for the 2021 Indy Women Build

When Crystal Adams learned about the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity Women Build, she knew she wanted to participate.

“A good friend of mine called me and told me she was building a team,” said Crystal. “We got to have fun playing with power tools and supporting women!”

The Indy Women Build program, hosted by the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, brings women together to build and advocate for affordable housing in their communities. Over the course of several weeks, volunteers collaborate to construct a home from the ground up. These houses typically go to single mothers, who receive education about home ownership and finances, and even take part in the construction of their own homes.

Crystal, a Human Resources Administrator, uses her paid Volunteer Time Off – a benefit provided by Glick – to join the builds and loves dedicating her time to the cause.

“Once the house is built, it’s such an awesome feeling to know you were part of this,” Crystal shared.

Thank you, Crystal, for your dedication to volunteerism and supporting your community. Take a look at the photos below from the May 12 build!
