Virtual Food Drive Results

Through the Gene B. Glick Company’s corporate social responsibility efforts, we strive to strengthen the quality of life in the communities we serve. One of our focus areas has been ensuring Glick residents and the surrounding communities have access to healthy, nutritious food.

Each year, the Glick team looks forward to hosting the annual canned food drive. Since the initiative was launched, Glick has collected nearly 100,000 canned food items for nonprofit organizations in communities where Glick apartments are located. Like most things in 2020, our annual food drive had to adapt due to the public health measures in place. Instead of collecting canned food items, we shifted to a virtual food drive. Glick team members were invited to contribute to the campaign and all contributions were matched by Glick Gives, Glick’s contribution match program. Thanks to the generosity of the Glick team, we raised $56,000. Funds were evenly distributed to the following organizations, all of whom were nominated by Glick service coordinators.
