VTO with Heart – Girl Scout’s Dudley E. Gallahue Camp

Oct 15, 2026

At Gene B. Glick Company, we are committed to strengthening the communities we call home. As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR), we encourage our team to give back through our paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program. Our “VTO with Heart” series highlights Glick team members and their VTO experiences.

We recently caught up with Jocelyn Piechocki, Compliance Program Administrator, to learn more about her VTO experience with Girl Scout’s Dudley E. Gallahue Camp, lovingly called “Camp Gallahue” by camp goers. At Camp Gallahue, Girl Scouts build confidence through outdoor adventures while creating lasting memories with their peers.

Read more as Jocelyn reflects in this edition of VTO with Heart.

Why did you choose Girl Scouts and Camp Gallahue?

“Having grown up as a Girl Scout myself, it’s especially meaningful to now watch my daughter and her troop enjoy many of the same experiences and continue the tradition. As a volunteer, I get to serve as a role model, encouraging girls to stretch their skills and make new friends. Plus, I get to spend more time outside!”

Tell us more about your volunteer experience.

“Girl Scout camps offer a variety of activities, from archery and swimming to campfire cooking, STEM, and wall climbing. By volunteering, I help create excitement around camp activities and Girl Scouts as a whole.”

How does volunteering impact your life?

“I’m amazed each year by how much the girls in my troop have changed and evolved into well-rounded young ladies. Volunteering offers me a sense of community and support that extends beyond my roles as a mom, wife, and employee.”

Describe what Glick’s VTO means to you.

“VTO is offered and strongly encouraged, providing time to give back in ways I may not otherwise be able to.”

If you are a Glick team member and want to use your VTO to give back to your community, submit your VTO request via Paylocity. To inspire others, we encourage all team members to log their volunteer time and impact on Selflessly.
